Choirokitia Nature Trail

The 2 km trail starts from the main square of the village. On the way through the village, one can admire the picturesque character of the community with the cobblestone streets and the traditional houses. Two houses are built above the road and the passer-by passes underneath as if under a bridge.

 Descending the mountainside, to the left is the river of Agios Minas with its wild natural vegetation. There one can admire the steep rocky areas with their unique beauty. In the middle of the route there is a cave that according to tradition, the residents used as a shelter for their protection from pirates and various natural disasters. Above the cave there are benches where the passerby can rest before proceeding to the mountain's ridge.

 When you reach the mountain's ridge, you can see the Neolithic settlement, the main road of Limassol – Nicosia and in the background, you can clearly see the sea of Zygi. From there one can clearly see the whole area of the community. The trail leads to the archaeological Neolithic settlement of Choirokoitia where one can admire the greatness and the art of our ancestors.

 All along the trail there is no intervention in nature, but only natural vegetation.

 It is even said that if someone makes the whole route of the trail without getting tired (because of the ascents and slopes that exist) then they have no health problems
