Limnatis village is located in the centre of Limassol district, 20 km southwest of Limassol town. Due to the large number of lakes in the area, the village is assumed to have taken its name from the word "lake". According to historical sources, Limnatis predates ancient times, namely the classical period (500 – 323 BC). According to the French historian, Louis de Mas Latri, Limnatis was a nobleman's feud.

Church of Metamorphosis tou Sotiros (Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior) The Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior is located on the top of the hill and is dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Savior.

Timiou Prodromou Church The Church of Timiou Prodromou is located in the southern part of the village and is dedicated to Timios Prodromos.

Agios Mamas Chapel Located in the centre of the village

'Limnatis' river The "Limnatis" river is almost full throughout all twelve months of the year.
