The architecture of Kakopetria is traditional, based on the construction of its houses.
Initially, the inhabitants of the village contributed to the preservation of the traditional architecture, where on their own initiative under the guidance of the Department of Antiquities in 1980, they proceeded with the restoration of the first residences, and the old settlement of Kakopetria was revitalized and became a controlled area of the Department of Antiquities as it is declared an Ancient Monument B.
