It is located on the west bank of the river Klarios, about 100 metres from the entrance of the old Kakopetria, from the point of the stone of Androgyn
Wooden bridges cross the river and lead to other trails but also, to various points in the old village of Kakopetria. At the end of the route there is an old fountain, Vateris fountain, from which the trail derives its name.
